Tip of the Week

The Gambrill House located on Route 355 (4801 Urbana Pike), in Frederick was built in 1872 by James Gambrill. Gambrill was a successful Miller in the Frederick area in his day. The Second Empire-style house has been restored and is currently the headquarters of the Historic Preservation Training Center. The Gambrill House/Monocacy National Battlefield is open 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday (major holidays excluded.) Free admission is offered to the Monocacy National Battlefield.
